About this lab
The Advanced Machine Intelligence Research Lab (AMIR) is a virtual research group dedicated to pushing the boundaries of machine learning, deep learning, and autonomous systems. Founded in early 2024, the lab brings together students from BSc to PhD level under the guidance of Dr. Arfan Khan.
Our research spans foundational theory and applied systems — from novel architectures in neural computation to real-world deployment of intelligent agents. Members follow a structured three-phase programme: literature mastery → experimentation → publication.
AMIR Lab is affiliated with the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. We publish primarily in IEEE Transactions, Elsevier journals, and top-tier ML conferences including NeurIPS, ICML, and AAAI.
